The Sunken Garden

Over the winter of 2010/11 Kirsty Knight Bruce re-designed the sunk garden adding eight new flower beds.

The beds and borders are continually changing throughout the summer: beginning with what promises to be a spectacular display of thousands of different varieties of spring bulbs. Followed by alliums, roses, euphorbias and a thrillingly wide variety of herbaceous plants. The four beds around the central pond are planted with a different scheme each year, sometimes cosmos ‘Purity’, and this year a scheme including dahlias and various different annuals.
