The Spring garden is a highlight of the early summer season. It is a delightful sight with hundreds of tulips and daffodills growing amongst the grass all overhung with pink and white cherry blossom.
The 4 acre woodland garden is an exotic mass of rich colour and sweetly scented azaleas and rhododendrons. It is its best in late May/early June.
The sunk garden is continually changing with a huge variety of plants including, alliums, roses,, penstemons, poppies, peonies as well as a good selection of annuals.
The terrace borders and the sunk garden borders are full of late autumn colour with a profusion of dahlias and asters.
In 2008 the rose garden was re-planted as a dahlia garden which looks at its best in August and September.
