Following a very successful study day on rock gardens in April 2005 the Edwardian rock garden has been re-built over the winter since the garden closed in 2007.
The framework is that of the old rock garden. But the overall effect is now much more dramatic as several tons of additional stone have been incorporated. Over the course of the summer the rock garden will be planted up with a mixture of traditional rock garden plants, grasses, shrubs and trees. There will also be a small section devoted to alpines.
